Each critter features a paragraph about the animal or habitat, and a quick description of it’s home. Each has an interesting “Fun Fact” that will help remember the critter.
The unique part of this book is a comical drawing of a human kid with all his paraphernalia hanging out with a “beaver” or “bear” or “honey bee” or “termite”. The science is real, the scenarios of living in an animal den, of course are fantasy. There’s nothing new to learn that is different from other science habitat books, but for science hesitant children, it may help them relate through imagining what it would be like to live under ground. It’s a good book. It’s a fun approach. It will be read cover to cover.
